Linden and Jeanette Basson, now retired are well settled in Langebaan since August 1988 after leaving careers in Maths and Science Teaching and as an occupational therapist.
They have three daughters and a son who also successfully studied at Stellenbosch and now boasts 10 grand kids – three girls and seven boys. Linden dug himself into the property business and soon launched his own “Langebaan Properties (Pty) Ltd” and had to call on Jeanette to join him.
The company was one of the most successful in town with a very dedicated small team rendering superb personal service and kept focussed on the needs of their clients. Galjoenduin, one of the first and then largest town house developments was one of the early successes Linden undertook and completed as a 59 unit Live Style Village.
It can be visited on Google Earth along Benguella Lane, Skipper and Anchor Closes. They were also tied up in developing a commercial complex and CEO of Kirkprop (Pty) Ltd and ran the business as a commercial rental. Linden and Jeanette were closely involved with Myburgh Park from the very start and one of the top marketing agents to Myburg Park (Pty) Ltd and a very close friend to Kerneels Nortje (CEO) and developer.
They settled in Penquin Place close to LYC and just love it. It is this affection of the very area to the Langebaan lagoon that urged Linden to share his land close by with more people.
